Goeree-Overflakkee, 14 August, 2009 - For the second year DARE was invited to launch a rocket on the freshmen students introduction of the TU Delft Aerospace Engineering's student union "VSV Leonardo da Vinci". The rocket was a simple HPR rocket and had an AeroTech motor. To avoid losing the rocket if it was to land on water, like last year, this year's rocket was equipped with a floating chamber and a semi-streamlined life-buoy. The rocket was launched fine, flew very well and parachuted successfully. Unfortunately it landed several tens of meters away in the sea, but it was "rescued".
